CDFD, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology invites applications from Indian nationals for following purely temporary openings in a research project titled “Identification and characterization of genetic lesions causing Lynch Syndrome in India” funded by ICMR and research project titled “Understanding the role of Chorismate Mutase in Mycobacterial Virulence” funded by CSIR.

CDFD wishes to fill the following posts in the above projects.

The description of the positions and the Essential & Desirable qualifications for

various jobs are as follows:

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CDFD JOB

The general conditions governing the Advertisement No. CDFD/EMPC/5/ October’.

20 are as follows:

  1. Mere fulfilling minimum qualification will certainly not entitle an applicant for being called for test/ interview.
  2. All these positions are totally short-term as well as co-terminus with the project and also.
    are originally for a max of one year.
  3. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Handicapped/Ex-service person candidates will be as per Govt. of India rules.
  4. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/ Physically Handicapped/Ex-service person/ Women candidates will certainly be as per Govt. of India guidelines.
  5. Selection against these positions will certainly not make the applicants with a Masters Degree, qualified to register for the PhD degree.
  6. Any of the chosen individuals may every so often be assigned to perform any other duties commensurate with their qualifications, by the Director, CDFD.
  7. The Director, CDFD reserves the right to suitably changing/relax any one of the above conditions. He also reserves the right to accept or reject any type of application without assigning any kind of reason.

1) SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT:

Upper Age Limitation (only for fresh recruits): 30 years

Consolidated Emoluments: 32,000/- p.m.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc degree in any branch of life sciences.

OR

B.Sc. in any branch of life sciences from a recognised university with 5 years of work experience in recognized Institution

Desirable Qualifications: Experience with routine molecular biology experiments including DNA/ RNA isolation, cloning, and regular and quantitative PCR; Cell Culture; H&E staining and immunohistochemistry.


2) PROJECT– JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW:

Upper Age Limitation (only for fresh recruits): 28 years

Emoluments: 31,000/- + HRA p.m.

Essential Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications are BS 4 years programme/BPharm/MBBS/ Integrated BS-MS/M. Sc./ BE/B. Tech or equal degree, with 55% marks as well as the passing of NET under i) JRF and also ii) Lecturership categories/GATE test. The selection for award of JRF is made on the basis of a competitive written test organised jointly by CSIR and also UGC at National Level.
