Herd Immunity Theory? – A Warning!! From WHO

bioxone October 14, 2020October 14, 2020

Samrat Sarkar, Amity University Kolkata

On this point when the entire world is on its way to find a way out to find a solution of the CORONA virus, scientists came up with an idea of ‘Herd Immunity’ theory which according to them would have been a big hit but on the other way WHO’s (World Health Organisation) director-general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is completely opposing it.

The technique of allowing the virus to spread resulting in the development of natural immunity in the human body might not be a good idea says the DG of WHO, as such technique has never been tried in the history to deal pandemic.

He even stated that people develop a temporary immunity for a few days as cases of re-attack of the virus has been summed up, hence allowing an unchecked circulation may cause a big hazard.

The effect of the virus has even been defined long term, due to certain cases that have been witnessed by DG himself. Well, researches will be asked to go on for checking and researching the reason behind long term effects of the virus, and proper measures will be taken in the later future for a better response against this virus.
