Name of the Project: “Design, fabrication and testing of portable, high-sensitivity aptasensors for one-step viral diagnostics.”

Sponsoring Agency: DST- SERB, Government of India

Duration: one years

Principal Investigator: Dr. Murugan Ramalingam, Asso. Prof. Grade 1, Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics, School of Mechanical Engineering , Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu – 632 014.

Stipend: Rs.20,000/- pm

Essential Qualifications: M. Tech/M.Sc (Biotechnology or relevant subject) with a minimum of 55% marks.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Candidate with work experience in biosensor designing and testing is desirable.
  • The PA will be required to do full-time research related to this specific project, in particular biosensor designing, fabrication, characterization and its validation for COVID detection.

Salary: INR 2,00,000 – 2,50,000 PA.
