NIPGR Vacancy Details

Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow

Name of the Project: “Transcriptional repressors as friends or foes: Utilization to increase seed size in rice”

How to Apply:

The Fellowship amount for the position will certainly be given at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of an assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post relying on the qualifications and also experience of the applicant. Reservation of post shall be based on Govt. of India norms. The appointment might be terminated whenever by giving one-month notification by either side. The applicants will certainly have no claim explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

Eligible applicants might apply by sending a soft copy with Email in the given format with a cover letter showing interest. The soft copy of the self-attested copies of the mark sheets, certificates, (from Class X onwards) and proof of research experience/publications. The mail must contain the application format, given below, in MS word only. In addition, a single pdf file, consisting of a cover letter, and all documents, must be sent to  pinky.agarwal@nipgr.ac.in within 15 days from the date of advertisement. A web-link with date and time of online interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted candidates. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.

Keep in mind: ONLY soft copy of the applications in the given format will certainly be accepted. Interview web link will only be sent to shortlisted candidates. Essential Qualification: Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019, and having M.Sc. degree (with minimum 60% marks) in Life Sciences/ Agriculture/ Plant Science/Botany or equivalent are eligible to apply. Candidates with prior work experience in the laboratory of plant tissue culture, molecular biology, biochemistry or bioinformatics will be preferred.
