Application and Selection Process for NABI Job:
- All interested candidates may appear for Walk-In-Interview at National Agri-Food
Biotechnology Institute located at Knowledge city, Sector-81, Mohali- 140306,
Punjab on 17th December 2020 at 09:00 AM along-with the duly filled application
form available on the website www.nabi.res.in. - Incomplete application form and also applications that are not in proper format might be summarily rejected.
- The applications should be submitted strictly according to the prescribed format that can be downloaded from the NABI web site.
- Applicants making an application for more than one position can give their preference in the same application by ticking multiple positions. No need to submit a separate application for every position.
- Candidates should make sure that the info mentioned in the application form is accurate.
Once the application is submitted no additional request regarding any changes/ information in the application will be considered. - The duly filled application should be submitted at the time of registration at NABI.
from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM on 17th December 2020. - The candidates need to ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
- All the applicants are asked to appear for the interview with complete CV, thesis/project report, experience certifications, publications and original degree certificates as well as transcripts.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Essential Qualifications for NABI Job:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in professional the course chosen via a procedure described via any one of the following:-
- The selection process with National Level examinations conducted by the central government departments and also their agencies as well as institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
- Scholars that have their own fellowship from funding agencies like CSIR, UGC and DBT etc.
Desirable Experience: Experience with microbiological or biochemical and/or molecular techniques.
Responsibilities: Conducting molecular biology as well as biochemical experiments.
Emoluments: As per fellowship granting agency
For Post II
Essential Qualifications for NABI Job:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in professional the course chosen via a procedure described via any one of the following:-
- The selection process with National Level examinations conducted by the central government departments and also their agencies as well as institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
- Scholars that have their own fellowship from funding agencies like CSIR, UGC and DBT etc.
Desirable Experience:
- CSIR-UGC-JRF/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF etc. nationwide level exams conducted by National Agencies/Departments like ICMR, ICAR, DAE, DST, DBT with own fellowship.
- Prior theoretical understanding about carotenoid biosynthesis pathway, plant tissue culture, plant genetic engineering, protoplast isolation, gene cloning, designing CRISPR/Cas vector, would be expected from the candidate.
Responsibilities: JRF will certainly do work on the development as well as utilization of CRISPR/Cas9 based approach for nutritional traits improvement in banana.

For Post III
Essential Qualifications for NABI Job: Post Graduate degree in Science or Bachelor degree in engineering and technology with a minimum of 55% marks.
Emoluments: Rs. 12,000/- per month plus HRA as applicable at Mohali.
For Post IV
Essential Qualifications for NABI Job: Post Graduate degree in Science or Bachelor degree in engineering and technology with a minimum of 55% marks.
