Among the Under-graduates, GATE exam is one of the gateways to higher studies. GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, it is an All-India Exam taken to assess your qualification for Masters, Integrated MTech- PhD and for various Public Sector Units recruitment.
IISC (Indian institute of Sciences ) and seven IITs ( Roorkee, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai (Madras) and Mumbai (Bombay) )take turns to organize and conduct the exam on behalf of the National Coordinating Board (NCB), Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Highlights of GATE-2021:
- IIT has opted for a Fully Computer Based Test (CBT), objective type paper, due to CoVid-19.
- Now, students can give ONE or TWO subject papers.
- Those who opted Biotechnology can choose Biomedical Engineering(BM) / Life Sciences (XL) as their 2nd Subject. Although, final allotment of TWO papers will still be subject to availability of infrastructure and dates.
- Eligibility criteria is relaxed: Candidates in 3rd year of Government approved Under-graduate degree such Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible to appear for GATE-2021 examination.
- There is NO age limit to appear for GATE 2021 examination.
- GATE-2021 score card will remain valid for THREE years, which is till 24th March ,2024.
