USEFULNESS OF CGX-1321 IN OVARIAN CANCER TREATMENT

bioxone November 17, 2020November 16, 2020

Biswadeep Sen, Amity University Kolkata

Ovarian Cancer is one of the most notorious forms of cancers, causing pain and discomfort to 1 in 108 women worldwide. Immune checkpoint therapy has shown that the presence of Immune Phenotypes limits its efficacy against this deadly foe.

The previous digging had shed light upon the Wnt/β-catenin pathway and concluded its significance in the reduced efficacy of the same.

Here in this study, the efficacies of Wnt and CGX-1321, used alone or in combination with either DKN-01 or anti-PD-1 therapy, are studied. An ovarian cancer model having a KO gene of p53 (ID8P53-/-) was developed. It was used to test the effects of CGX-1321 (singly or in a combination) in a tumour microenvironment, having been tested on both tumour and immune cells.

The analysis of Flow cytometry and NanoString shed light on the characterization and changes in the tumour’s intrinsic signalling and immune profiles. The results show that the CGX-1321 monotherapy significantly reduced the Tumor burden along with increasing CD8+ T cells in the Tumor Microenvironment.

A critical role of intraspecific host variation in pathogen community structure

bioxone November 8, 2020November 8, 2020

Aditi Chakraborty, Amity University Kolkata Infections due to multiple viruses co-habiting within the same host is very prevalent within our biosphere. The intra-specific nature of resistance in the host organism affects the structure of the viral community. It is impertinent to comprehend the composition and epidemiological trajectory of the pathogenic communities to make progression in […]
