NIPGR Vacancy Details

Junior Research Fellow (2 posts): Emoluments based on DST/DBT standards and also as sanctioned in the project.

Name of the Project: “Beyond transgenic plants: use of precise genome editing for improving plant growth under low phosphorus input”

How to Apply:

The above positions are entirely on a temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above positions are as sanctioned in the project and also as per DBT/DST standards. The initial appointment will certainly be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of an assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to choose the applicant against the above post depending upon the qualification and also experience of the applicant. Reservation of posts shall be based on Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be ended any time by giving one-month notification by either side. The candidates will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

Eligible candidates may apply by sending out soft copy through e-mail in the given format with a cover letter showing interest in addition to self- attested soft copies of the mark-sheets, certifications, (from Class X onwards) and proof of research experience/publications. A single pdf file, consisting of application from cover letter, and also all documents, must be sent to jitender@nipgr.ac.in within 15 days from the date of advertisement. A web-link with the date and also the time of on-line interview will be e-mailed to the shortlisted applicants. The applicants should ascertain their eligibility prior to applying, as ineligible applicants will not be interviewed.

Note: ONLY soft copy of the application in the given format will certainly be accepted. Interview link will only be sent to shortlisted candidates. For any clarification, candidates may get in touch with Scientist in charge through email only.

Essential Qualification: Applicants selected through National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated January 30, 2019 and also having M.Sc. degree (with minimal 60% marks) in Life Sciences/Agriculture/ Plant Science/Botany or comparable are eligible to apply. Applicants with prior work experience in the laboratory of plant tissue culture, molecular biology, biochemistry or field experience of rice research will certainly be favoured.
