Terms and Conditions:

1. The above- mentioned vacancy is for a fixed period of one year (12 months).
2. The selection will not be an employment on AIIMS Raipur pay-roll. Employment will.
   automatically terminate upon completion of 1 year (12 months) from the day of joining.

Applicants need to bring duly filled up application (According to the prescribed Performa) and all original certificates of educational qualifications, copies of research publications and experience certification, identity proof, together with two photographs and set of self-attested copies of all certificates and pertinent documents at the time of interview.

Applicants have to download the application form from the AIIMS Raipur web site. No change in serial no. order and also the heading of the column to be made. The application in the said format is to be properly typed as well as signed. Two current self- signed passport sized colour photographs are to be attached with stapled/pinned on the first page of the Performa format. Thereafter the application form needs to be scanned and emailed.

The candidate needs to make a folder titled- ‘Name of the applicant with the post applied for’. This folder needs to consist of the soft copy of the duly filled up application form in addition to the scanned original copies of relevant documents. Selection Procedure:

The applications received will be scrutinized by the selection committee. Recruitments will be made through Interview and a written test will be conducted if the qualified applicants are greater than 30 per post. Selection will be based purely on merit basis.

Consolidated Fixed Salary (per month): Rs. 70,000/-

Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Science.

or

First-class master’s degree (M.Sc./ M.Tech) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Life sciences with the pertinent subjects from a recognized university with minimal 5 (05) years research experience in the pertinent subject after 1st class masters degree.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. PhD candidates with research/ thesis work on infectious diseases supported by a minimum of three original research publication in PUBMED indexed journal will be given preference.
2. Any Post -doctoral research/ past experience in Viral infectious disease diagnosis, epidemiological studies will be given preference.
3. Working experience of tissue culture/ virus harvesting/ cell line maintenance/ viral gene expression study/ genetic basis of viral pathogenesis/ viral diagnostic genetic marker/In-house development of primer-probes/ In-house development of ELISA/ Whole-genome sequencing etc.
4. Knowledge of Computer Applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Sequence phylogenetic analysis software, Business Intelligence tools, Data Management). Working knowledge of molecular bioinformatics tools like Bio edit, BLAST, Primer and Probe designing, phylogenetic analysis and sequence will be favoured.

Job description of RS-II:

1. Real-time assessment of any viral outbreak if occurs in Chhattisgarh.
2. Coordination with state health personal in control measurement of any kind of viral outbreak.
3. Guaranteeing the proper sample collection and also its transportation by health workers in case of lab investigation of any type of viral outbreak in Chhattisgarh.
4. Routine diagnosis of all viral infections whose facilities are available in VRDL.
5. Writing brand-new research projects and also working on it.
6. Conducting training and also workshops for Medical colleges/ District Hospitals of Chhattisgarh.
7. Writing for publication in reputed journals.
8. Active participation in research projects sanctioned.
9. Completion of any other work assigned by PI and also Co-PI for smooth functioning of VRDL.
10. Supervision and also management of other staff employed in VRDL.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Bioinformatics/ Life.
   Science from a recognized university.
2. 3 years’ experience of working in Viral diseases/ Infectious disease diagnostic laboratory or Molecular biology laboratory.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Research/ training experience in Viral Diagnosis/ Infectious disease outbreak diagnosis/ field experience of sample collection and also transport in a viral disease outbreak.
2. Working experience of tissue culture (virus isolation)/ cell line maintenance/ viral gene expression study/ genetic basis of viral pathogenesis/ viral diagnostic genetic marker.
3. At the very least 2, original research publications (Published/ accepted) in PUBMED indexed journal will certainly be given preferences.
