Qualifications (Essential) for SCTIMST Vacancy: MSc Biotechnology (NET qualified)
Qualification (Desirable):
- Experience in molecular genetics including DNA/RNA extraction from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) and fresh tissue, PCR, RT-PCR and Sanger sequencing.
- Experience in histopathology techniques including immunohistochemistry.
Job Description:
The candidate should be able to independently perform the various activities pertaining to the project as assigned by the PI. Some of the wet lab activities include:
- Perform and standardize DNA extraction from paraffin blocks
- Primer designing
- Perform and standardize PCR and Sanger sequencing
- Perform immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
- Indenting and procuring consumables/equipment
Emoluments: Rs.31,000/- plus 16 percent HRA per month.
