Name of the Post: JRF Position in Biotechnology

Project Title: Ethno-scientific approach for evidence based promotion of heritage and indigenous Paddy varieties of Tamil nadu for health & sustainability through conservational memory and gene banking

Name of the Sponsoring Agency: Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Project Description: Therapeutic components have to be screened in the traditional paddy varieties for application to Human diseases including Diabetes, Bone health etc., Extension works need to be carried out for conservational promotion through memory and Gene banking.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates might send their latest resume by e-mail to Dr A.Sathya (sathyaravi@carism.sastra.edu) on or before 15th November 2020. Shortlisted applicants will have to appear for a test and interview. The date of the test and interview will be notified by email just to the shortlisted applicants. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Fellowship: As per the DST (Rs.31,000/month), University Norms.

Essential Qualification: M. Sc. or M. Tech. (life sciences or Biotechnology or Botany or Agriculture or Plant sciences related field / any life sciences discipline) Interest to research with Plants, Plant products & undertake Preclinical studies.
