Job Description:
Microbiologist
- Receipt, storage and handling of Master cultures
- Receipt, storage as well as handling of Biological indicator
- Isolation and identification and also maintenance of organisms
- Receipt, storage as well as handling of dehydrated media and also Ready-to-Use media
- Maintenance of Master cultures Isolates and also prep work of Cryovials.
- Performing the Calibration of all the instruments
- Performing the performance verification of all the equipment/ instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Prep work of media
- Sterilization of media and accessories by autoclave cycles
- Performing Growth promo Test for the prepared media
- Maintenance of dehydrated and prepared media supplies
- Decontamination and also disposal of used microbiological media and cultures
- Prep work of disinfectants
- General cleaning as well as sanitization of microbiology laboratory
- Monitoring temperatures of Incubators, Cooling cabinet, Freezers, Refrigerators
- Performing water sampling according to schedule ·
- Performing water analysis, Microbial Limit Test, Sterility tests, Bacterial Endotoxin Test and Liquid-borne Particle Count, PET and. Assays, CCIT and micro challenge studies
- Preparation of culture suspensions and inoculum determination
- Environmental monitoring in.Microbiology Lab and Production areas
- Calibration of Balances and pH meter
- Receipt, storage and also handling of Bio ball cultures
- Receipt, storage as well as handling of LAL Test Kit.
Educational Qualifications & Work Experience Preferred:
Qualification:
- MSc in Microbiology /Biotechnology /Biochemistry
- Target years of 3+ years of experience in a plant microbiology laboratory, associated with the testing of sterile dosage forms
Knowledge and also Skills
- Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, and quality assurance operations
- Experience in sterility testing and also BET I sterility method validation.
Technical Skills
- Experience in ML T method validation and also testing
- Well versed with EM sampling and also testing
- Experience in microbiological testing of water
- Knowledge of aseptic area qualification, handling of media and also cultures, qualification and operation of equipment such as incubators, autoclave etc.
- Knowledge of GMPs and also its application Standards, Processes & Policies
- Ability to write SOPs, protocols as well as handle documentation activities in the microbiology laboratory
- Good communication
