Online interview

Candidates are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow or Young Professional II (Three positions) totally on contractual basis in ICAR-Indian Institute Millets Research, Hyderabad 500030 though online interview on 26th November 2020.

The qualified candidates are asked to send their duly-filled bio-data in the enclosed application format ‘Annexure– I’ and ‘Annexure– II’, in addition to self-attested scanned copies (PDF/JPEG) of the relevant documents by e-mail to nepolean@millets.res.in on or before 20th November 2020. Short-listed applicants will be provided with the link prior to the date of the on-line interview through e-mail.

How to Apply for IIMR Job:

1. The above posts are purely temporary and also on contractual basis till the expiry of the project. The chosen candidates shall not claim for regular appointment/absorption in ICAR-IIMR or funding agency at the end of the project.
2. The age limitation of the above position is up to 35 years as on the date of interview. The relaxation in upper age limit is five years for SC/ST/Women candidates as well as 3 years for OBC applicants as per rules.
3. The duly filled-in application form (as per the format-Annexure I enclosed) with photograph affixed on it and signed, must be sent out to nepolean@millets.res.in on or before 20th November 2020.
4. All the relevant original testimonials (date of birth, degree certificate, experience certification, etc., if any kind of) are to be shown as well as a set of attested copies of all the certificates will be required to be submitted by the candidates for verification, prior to joining if selected. If any kind of applicant is found to have sent false information/claims at any type of stage, their candidature will certainly be summarily rejected or appointment will certainly be terminated.
5. No objection and also experience certification is required from the employer, in case he/she is employed.
6. For short-listed candidates interview will be held online on 26th November 2020 and the details of which will be communicated through email.
7. The online reporting time for the interview will be communicated. The applicants shall adhere to the instructions and timings of joining the online interview. The candidate/s might be required to wait for access according to the waiting list and also the details of which will certainly be communicated through e-mail.
8. The applicants are advised to guarantee good internet connectivity for the smooth conduct of the interview and also download the relevant software to connect the link.
9. No TA/DA/ any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
10. Concealing of the facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification or termination of the candidate. The decision of the competent authority will certainly be final and also binding in all respects.
11. It may be kept in mind by the applicant intending to attend the online interview if any of his near or distant relatives is an employee of the ICAR – IIMR, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing (Annexure-II) together with the form application so as to reach us by 20th November 2020. If any such certificate as well as or declaration is furnished on the date of the interview and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR – IIMR, such candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview. Moreover, also after joining, if the info is found to be false, her/his candidature is liable to be rejected and also/ or termination of the contract. All the various other applicants are also required to compulsorily send the scanned declaration duly signed in the format (Annexure-II) together with other documents through e-mail.
12. In case of any type of disputes, it will certainly be resolved within the jurisdiction of Hyderabad, Telangana court only.

Essential Qualification for IIMR Job: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/ Botany/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences:

a. Candidates having postgraduate degree in above-mentioned academic subjects with 4 years Bachelor’s degree and also 2 years Master’s degree will be taken into consideration for SRF.

b. Applicants having postgraduate degree in above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and also 2 years Master’s degree with NET qualification or PhD will be taken into consideration for SRF.

c. Applicants having postgraduate degree in above-mentioned academic subjects with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree without NET qualification will be taken into consideration for YP II.

Desirable Qualification for IIMR Job: Research experience in applications of molecular markers, gene expression assays, high throughput marker data generation, next-generation sequencing data, bioinformatics tools in crops.

Emoluments: A fixed salary of Rs. 31,000 plus HRA for SRF and Rs 25,000 for

YP II per month.
