Duration: (The Proiect is up to 31.03.2021 however extendable)

How to Apply:

1. Interview of qualified candidates will be held at Indian Institute of Soil Science. Nabibagh, Berasia Road, Bhopal, which is 6 K.M from Bhopal main station for the above
   contractual positions.
2. Age limit for Senior Research Fellow is 35 years for Men & 40 years for Women
   (relaxation of age in case of SC/ST/OBC/ PH applicants based on Government norms).
3. The above position is purely on a short-term basis. The appointment will be co-terminus with the termination of the project. other terms & conditions will be based on the guidelines for SRF working in the ICAR Schemes.
4. The chosen applicant will have no right what so ever for absorption/regularization in the Institute.
5. The engagement will be initially for a period of six months/one year or till termination of
   the project. The extension will be given subject to the satisfactory performance of the
   work.
6. The selection of candidate doesn’t entail any type of right for absorption/regularization at IISS and/or any other sister concern including ICAR Headquarter.
7. The services of the chosen applicant can be dispensed with even prior to the termination of the project with no notice if his/her services are no more required or his/her
   the contribution is considered not up to the mark.
8. No TA/DA will certainly be paid for attending the interview.
9. All qualified applicants are asked to be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time
   on date of interview for necessary formalities.
10. The applicants have to bring with them original documents for verification along with one set of the full bio-data in the prescribed format with a self-attested photograph as well as self-attested enclosures such as mark sheets, proof of date of birth, certificates for
    qualification, experience. and cast certificate for submission in the office at the time of
    interview.
11. Canvassing in any kind of form will certainly lead to termination of candidature.
12. The Director, IISS, reserves the right to fix criteria and short list the applicants for
    the screening of applications/for conducting written test.
13. The decision of the Director, IISS, Bhopal would certainly be final and also binding in all aspects.

Emoluments: Rs.31000/- pm (fixed) plus HRA

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Microbiology with 4 years/ 5 year of Bachelor’s degree.

Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree must have N.E.T./ GATE qualifications and 2 years of research

experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Experience in isolation and characterization of bacteria from environmental samples.
2. Use of molecular techniques in soil microbial analysis.
3. A track record in the use of molecular techniques including PCR, sequencing and data
   analysis.
