How to Apply:

Note 1: The earlier nomenclatures for the position of Project Associate–I is Project Assistant level II & Project-JRF and for that of Senior Project Associate is Project-RA.

Note 2: The above age limitations are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups (SC/ST/OBC/ PWD) based on Govt. of India/ CSIR instructions on the subject.

After receipt of applications, the screening will certainly be done as well as the eligible applicants will certainly be shortlisted and they will be informed the date of interview to their respective mail address to attend an on-line interview for selection. The engagement will certainly be originally for a duration of six months, which might be extended or curtailed relying on the duration of the tenure of the sponsored project/ satisfactory performance or conduct of the fellow, probably. The engagement will be totally on a short-term basis for the sponsored projects as well as does not entitle him/ her for the CSIR/ IICT permanent position.

For Post I

Essential Qualifications: PhD in Life Science / Microbiology 

Desirable Qualifications: Handling cultures from extreme environments like

marine sources.

Stipend: Rs. 42,000 plus HRA


For Post II

Essential Qualifications: MSc/M.Tech in Biochemistry /Microbiology/ Biotechnology

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in recombinant protein production and

molecular biology.

Stipend: Rs. 31,000 plus HRA


For Post III

Essential Qualifications: MSc in Biotechnology/ Microbiology with NET/GATE.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience related to biological waste management,

CO2 sequestration, air pollution control, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, application of nano-particles in environment etc., are preferred.

Stipend: Rs. 31,000 plus HRA


For Post IV

Essential Qualifications: MSc in Microbiology/ Biochemistry / Biotechnology.

Desirable Qualifications: NET/GATE qualified. One year of experience in the enzymatic reaction is preferable.

Stipend: Rs. 31,000 plus HRA.

* Fellowship amount is applicable for NET/GATE/GPAT or various other nationwide eligible tests as per new CSIR standards. If suitable students are not found, the fellowship amount will be 25,000/- plus HRA.
