Project Title: “Preparation of people biodiversity register of seven blocks of Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh (GAP-0255)”

The number of positions as advertised may vary depending upon the suitability of applicants and needs of the applicants in the project.

The on-line applications should be reached on or prior to 26th October 2020. All the applications will be scrutinized by the duly constituted committee and eligible candidates will certainly be interviewed over Video Conferencing. The date of online interview will be informed separately.

  1. All interested applicants should have to fill in application form (as per the format annexed) and send in pdf form through email on recruitment@ihbt.res.in. Please do not attach any documents with the application form.
  2. The candidates who want to make an application for more than one positions need to apply separately for each position.
  3. In case of selection, the information provided by the candidate in his/her proforma attached shall be verified from the original documents. In case any information provided found false or wrong the offer of engagement shall straightway liable to be terminated.
  4. Incomplete applications, late received applications, applications received with any other mode & applications for multiple posts; in a single application form would certainly not be accepted and summarily rejected.
  5. All applicants must fulfil all the essential requirements of the position(s) and along with other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on 26th October 2020.
  6. It is compulsory for all the applicants to fill all the columns of the proforma very carefully before submission. No other format/proforma of application shall be accepted.
  7. In case of Universities/Institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., applicants are asked to convert the same into a percentage based upon the formula as per their university/Institute.
  8. The subject for the e.mail must be “Application for the position of ……………………( Position Code…………).

Step-1: Download the application proforma annexed with the advertisement.

Step-2: Fill all the columns of application proforma very carefully in their own handwriting.

Step-3: Scan completely duly filled up application proforma, as well as

Step-4: Send through Email on recruitment@ihbt.res.in with mentioning subject as “Application for the position of …………………… (Position Code …………).

(Candidates should k & ep in mind that if they intend to apply for more than one position(s), they need to apply separately for each position).

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the period of the project. There will certainly be no right implicit or explicit for the regular position for any kind of post in CSIR-IHBT, whatsoever.

The decision of the Director, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur will be final for engagement of Research Associate-I in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur (H.P.).

Keep in mind:

  1. Result awaited candidates are not eligible for interview.
  2. No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained.

For Post I

Emoluments:

  • (i) Rs. 31,000/-p.m. + HRA to those who are selected through
    a) National Eligibility tests CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE
    or
    b) A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by the central government and their agencies and institutions.
  • (ii) Rs. 25,000/-p.m. + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology or

the equivalent from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualifications: One publication in the area of bioinformatics.


For Post II

Emoluments:

  • (i) Rs. 35,000/-p.m. + HRA to those who are selected through
    a) National Eligibility tests CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE
    or
    b) A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by the central government and their agencies and institutions.
  • (ii) Rs. 28,000/-p.m. + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Essential Qualifications:

(i) M.Sc. Botany from a recognized university.

(ii) Two years of experience in Research and Development in Industry and Academic

Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and

services.

Desirable Qualifications: One publication in the area of bioinformatics.
