e. Candidates are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- as per ‘Fee payment procedure’ available on the website. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/ Women/ Other Gender/CSIR Employees are exempted from submission of application fee.
f. In case of universities/institute awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their university/institute guidelines.
g. The print-out of the application, generated after online submission, duly accompanied by self-attested copies of the requisite certificates, mark sheets, age proof, education qualifications, experience, re-prints of 1st page of publications and caste certificate, if applicable, along with one recent coloured passport size self-signed photograph affixed should be sent in an envelope super-scribed “SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER(1)/TECHNICAL OFFICER/TECHNICAL ASSISTANT/TECHNICIAN-I” (Post Code ________)” by post to “ The Director, CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Sector 10, Jankipuram Extension, Sitapur Road, Lucknow – 226031, Uttar Pradesh, India”. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit each application in a separate envelope for each post indicating the Code No. of the post.
h. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded on any count nor can it be held in reserve for any other recruitment or selection process.
i. Applications from employees of Government Departments will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel, certified by the employer that the applicant if selected, will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment orders. Also, vigilance clearance should also be submitted. However, an advance copy of the application may be submitted before the closing date. Applications routed through proper channel should reach CSIR-CDRI before the date of the outcome.
j. Applicants must particularly make a note that the applications received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as envelopes wrongly addressed, delivered elsewhere, postal delay etc.) shall not be entertained by CSIR-CDRI.

Essential Qualifications: 1st class B.Sc. (Sci.) with Life Sciences / Biological Sciences / Zoology / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry / Biomedical Science as one of the subjects with one-year full-time professional qualification in life science technology / Medical Lab
technology/pathology / biomedical science or with one year experience in
Genomics/ Human Genetics/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Cancer Biology/ Endocrinology/
Molecular & Structural Biology/ Neuroscience & Ageing Biology from a recognized institute /
organization.
Desirable Qualification & Experience:
- Skilled professionals in genomics and proteomics to handle advanced laboratory
equipment such as Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Mass Spectrometer, Digital PCR, MicroArray, Fluorescence Microscope etc. - Experience in regular biochemical assays, Molecular techniques such as DNA gel
electrophoresis, PCR, Plasmid Isolation etc. - Experience in Bacterial cell and mammalian cell culture.
- Experience in Rodent handling, Dosing via various routes and Euthanasia.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or data handling.
Job Specification:
- To be deployed in the Divisions of Biochemistry/ Cancer Biology/ Endocrinology/ Molecular
& Structural Biology / Neuroscience & Ageing Biology / Pharmacology. - The incumbent is expected to scientists in carrying out genomics, Proteomics, gene
sequencing, cloning, gene expression, Cell & Tissue culture, etc. - Perform and assist in performing regular cell and tissue-based biochemical and
molecular biology experiments such as RT-PCR and Western Blotting. - Handling of laboratory animals and carrying out in vivo experiments in different species.
- Perform/assist GLP/NABL work.
- Tabulate and analyze the data using MS excel, prepare reports and presentations.
- Lab. Maintenance, Indent management.

Essential Qualifications: 1st class BSc (Sci) life sciences with one year experience in
NABL/NABH/GLP Certified labs/institute/organization or one year professional
qualification in Medical Lab technology.
Desirable Qualification & Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in NABL/NABH/GLP Certified labs in handing and maintenance of automated instruments as per NABL/GLP norms or Histopathological
techniques.
Job Specification:
- To be deployed in the division of Toxicology and Experimental Medicine. The incumbent is expected to participate in GLP regulatory studies as study personnel and generating and handling study data.
- Perform animal experiments and biochemical assays.

Essential Qualifications: 1st class B.Sc. (Sci) With a one-year full-time professional qualification in the techniques of microbiology/pathology / biomedical science /
Medical laboratory technology
OR
one year working experience in containment facility / BSL-3 facility/handling of microbial cultures, tissue cultures and recombinant DNA techniques from a recognized institute /
organization.
Desirable Qualification & Experience:
- One-year experience in wet lab of biomedical research in the area of microbiology /
parasitology/virology. - Hands-on experience of working in the BSL-3 facility.
Job Specification:
- To assist the scientists in their research activities in the disease areas of microbial infections, malaria and other parasitic diseases and virology area.
- To work in a biosafety facility, handling of microbial cultures and tissue cultures using
different molecular biology techniques.
