Project Title: “Testing for Diagnosis and CSIR-Molecular and Digital Surveillance of COVID-19 at CSIR-IHBT, Palampur (OLP-0043)”

- For Project Scientist I: 35 years
- For Project Scientist II: 40 years
How to Apply:
The number of positions as advertised may vary depending upon the suitability of applicants and needs of the applicants in the project.

All the applications will be scrutinized by the duly constituted committee and eligible candidates will certainly be interviewed over Video Conferencing. The date of online interview will be informed separately.

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the period of the project. There will certainly be no right implicit or explicit for the regular position for any kind of post in CSIR-IHBT, whatsoever.
The decision of the Director, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur will be final for engagement of Research Associate-I in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur (H.P.).
Keep in mind:

Emoluments:
- For Project Scientist I: Rs. 56,000/- + HRA
- For Project Scientist II: Rs. 67,000/- + HRA
For Project Scientist-I
Essential Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology / Virology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology from recognized university or equivalent.
For Project Scientist-II
Essential Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology / Virology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology from recognized university or equivalent and
Three Years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic
institutions or Science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and services
Desirable Qualifications:
For Position 1
Broad practical lab level experience in the area of infectious diseases, handling of infected clinical samples, infectious microbes/viruses in BSL2/8SL3 facility.
For Position 2
Viral/bacterial genome sequencing by high throughput based techniques such as NGS
and sequence analysis.
Job Description:
For Position 1
The successful candidate will work in BSL2 facility to process the infectious clinical, samples of COVID 19 for qRT-PCR based testing.
For Position 2
The successful candidate will be involved in COVID 19 viral genome sequencing using high
throughput sequencing methods and analysis.
