COVID UPDATE: Coronavirus was fabricated in government-controlled Wuhan lab, claims Chinese virologist, Dr. Li-Meng Yan

–Sagnik Nag, Amity University Kolkata

The emergence of an exceedingly pathogenic human Coronavirus in the Middle East has sparked novel concern in human coronaviruses around the world. The coronavirus came into view in Wuhan, a city of 10.9 million people in China’s Hubei zone’19. The highly contagious novel SARS-COV-2 virus not only affected the medical structure of the countries but it also affected the economy, quality of life and had a psycho-social upshot on the global landscape, originating from a wet food market at Wuhan. According to a recent claim on September 14, 2020, by Chinese virologist Dr. Li-Meng Yan, the SARS-CoV-2 virus was fabricated in a government-controlled Wuhan lab and the Chinese government knew well about the virus before it claimed it did. On a British talk show “Loose Women” (September,11), Dr. Yan claimed that upon laboratory modification of a pre-existent deleterious strain of coronavirus namely CC45 & ZXC21 gave rise to the novel coronavirus that we know of today, performed by a Chinese military institute. Furthermore, she added that the intermediate hosts and the patients affected near the Wuhan seafood market are just a ‘smokescreen’ or a way to mislead other people of the world about the real intentions of the government. The virologist also claimed for having shreds of evidence to back up her statements, Dr. Yan has intelligence reports from the CDCs in China and statements of local doctors in China. She completely asserted the fact that the novel Coronavirus had been produced from the lab and not naturally evolved. She would publish her scientific findings of this topic and her evidence very soon with her small group of top scientists, upon which she is working since January.
