The Secret of Keeping a Healthy Body and Mind

bioxone April 17, 2021April 17, 2021

Thota Kanishka Rao, Amity University Kolkata

From working 9-to-5 to working overtime and being stressed about every aspect of life, we humans changed our good and healthy lifestyle into an extremely unhealthy one. A healthy lifestyle leads to a sound body. Doctors have claimed that four pillars support our good health, including nutrition, physically being active, good sleep and emotional health.

With the occasion of world health day round the corner, doctors around the world share insights on staining a healthy body and lifestyle. To cure diseases, not only medication and exercises but also having a positive mindset towards curing the disease is also important. It’s been observed in few patients suffering from diseases such as diabetes, high BP, fatty liver, elevated cholesterol, thyroid and many more, have adapted a positive mindset, thinking of these diseases more of a lifestyle disease rather than life-long. Nowadays, it’s been fed into everybody’s mind that these diseases are lifelong, which is completely false. People who can change this mindset, always have a chance of changing the health conditions.

Food habits play a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy body. People with stories of reversing their diseases took their diet plans as more of a habit and that made the difference for them. They took to more healthy options than unhealthy ones. These patients did go out to eat once a while but focused more on eating healthy eating every single day. Ultimately, it was their habit of eating right, getting proper sleep and leading a healthy lifestyle that helped them achieve and sustain good health over a longer period.

Most of the people battling diseases worldwide, lead a sedentary lifestyle. And nearly everyone realised that being active was a crucial component on the road to being healthy. Be it thyroid, weight loss, diabetes or high BP, patients found out that regularly jogging or exercising has played a major role in curing them. The amount of time they invested in exercising was not important, but the fact that they did regularly and it made a difference in their lives.

Diseases are sometimes caused due to addictions to smoking or drinking of people.  And none of them, who cured themselves of their diseases gave in to excuses of their addictions. They overcame their addictions and turned towards a healthy life. This step took a little time, but ultimately they did give up their addictions and sacrificed for something better and meaningful.

Being humans, we and specifically our emotions are controlled by hormones. Patients on their way to becoming healthy grew conscious about their emotional health. This resulted in them trying to be and eventually becoming happier and having positive thoughts instead of being unhappy and unsatisfied. An improved emotional state helped them in recovering faster.
