How to Apply:
- Applicants are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. prior to
appearing for the interview - Applicants having essential qualification will only be considered for an interview.
- No TA/DA as well as official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
- The post is purely short-term as well as co-terminus with the project, the chosen applicant has no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR
- The decision of the Director of the institute will be final and also binding in all aspects.
- The Director shall also reserve the right to end the contract of the job as mentioned above even prior to the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof will be made.
- Candidates are needed to bring the pertinent certifications/ mark sheets, etc. in original along with an application with complete bio-data enclosing xeroxes of certifications and also mark sheets from matriculation onwards duly attested affixing a passport size photograph on the top.
- The chosen candidate will certainly be needed to produce medical certification at the time of joining.
- In case of any type of disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi court only.
For Post I
Salary: Rs 49000 plus HRA
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Master’s Degree in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology with specialization in bioinformatics from a recognized University or equivalent; and
(ii) Eight years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and
services
Or
(i) Doctoral Degree in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences from a recognized
University; and
(ii) Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and
services.
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in analyses of high throughput SNP genotyping, re-sequencing and
transcriptomics data. - Publications in high impact journals.
For Post II
Salary:
(i) Rs.31000 + HRA for scholars who are selected through (a) CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) or GATE. (b) A selection process through a national
level examination conducted by central government departments and their agencies and
institutions.
(ii)Rs 25,000/- + HRA for scholars who do not fall under (i) above.
(iii)From 3rd year onwards: Project Associate II/ Senior Research Fellow @ Rs
35,000 + HRA for scholars with qualification as in (i) and Rs 28,000/- + HRA for
scholars as mentioned in (ii) above.
Essential Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Genetics and Plant Breeding /Botany/Life sciences or 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or
equivalent.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in analyses of biological data.
For Post III
Salary:
